Refunds + Return Policy

Refunds and Return policy is outlined below. Please review carefully before purchasing.

1. returns (unopened)

We accept returns on new unopened items within 14 days of delivery. The item/items must be unopened, in its original packaging and have the receipt or proof of purchase. Before a return is sent, the customer must have written approval from MBoards. If a customer sends a return without the written consent of MBoards, a refund will not be issued and the customer will have to pay shipping to get the item returned, or, sacrifice the item. If you do decide to make a return, a 15% restocking free will be charged on all items returned. Deliveries that are refused are considered an unauthorized return. 

Please note: On Sale, Clearance, and Battery Pack items are not eligible for returns/refund. The product must also be an existing in-store product and cannot be a discontinued product.

2. returns (defective or damaged)

We accept returns or exchanges if the item you purchased is defective or has been damaged in transit. Customers must notify MBoards within 48 hours of delivery date to be eligible for a replacement. If you receive a defective item, please contact us at support@mboards.co with details of the product and the defect or damage.

Upon receiving the returned product or photos/videos of defective product, we will notify you via e-mail, within a reasonable period of time, whether you are entitled to a refund or a replacement as a result of the defect.
 

Due to the complex installation process and how easy it is to destroy a BMS if installed improperly, all Raw BMSs are final sale. Unfortunately it is impossible to prove where and when the part may or may not have failed during the installation. 

3. returns shipping

We cover return shipping for US customers on defective and damaged items only. Due to the complex customs laws for that differ from country to country, International customers are eligible for return shipping reimbursement in the form of store credit. All defective items are inspected by our technicians. If the item is not defective, the return shipping costs will be charged to the customer. If you are returning an item, you will be responsible to cover the cost of shipping back to our warehouse even if you received free shipping initially. We always recommend using a carrier that provides tracking when returning your items. Please always make sure to pack your item carefully as we cannot issue full refunds on items damaged during shipping.

4. refunds

Once a refund has been approved, please allow 1-2 weeks for this to be processed. This allows time for shipping back to our warehouse, item inspection, and bank transfer processing times. Once your refund has been processed and approved, you will receive your refund using the payment method of your original purchase. Refund will only be processed once the item/items are back at our warehouse. Contacting your financial institution is not an appropriate way to cancel your order as they will impose fees to both sides. If you need to cancel an order, please let us know, we are always happy to help. If you need an update on your refund, please contact us at support@mboards.co.

Gift Cards are not refundable. 

The customer must be able to send photos/videos to the MBoards team so we can properly diagnose and determine the cause of the issue. Once a determination is made a refund/replacement will be issued. 

5. missing items

Unfortunately we are all human and items can be forgotten in orders. Customers have 48 hours after the time of delivery to verify that all items have been received and to reach our to support@mboards.co in the event that an item is missing. Refunds/Replacement items will be dispatched accordingly.  

6. warranty

All MBoards branded products are protected against manufacturer defects during normal and intended use for 100 days. Exposure to moisture, misuse, physical damage, or modifying the products voids warranty. Warranty claims are valid to the original owner of the parts only. If a warranty claim is made, and accepted by MBoards, MBoards will issue a replacement of equal or better condition or make the repair. If a repair is necessary to an international customer, MBoards will supply guidance to complete the repair if applicable.

Other retailers like Flipsky, Lacroix, etc, carry their own warranty terms which we are required to uphold (Typically these are 90 days in length and have similar terms to ours listed above). Either way if an item is defective it is covered under warranty, just might take us a couple extra emails to those manufacturers to coordinate replacement approval. 90% of cases, we are able to pre-approve the replacement depending on the issue. Some edge cases may rely on Manufacturer approval. 

Items sold at heavy discount or at replacement value, do not come with a warranty. 

Pre-Built Kits are covered under warranty. Warranty includes free replacement parts, hardware, and help to complete the repair on your end. We are happy to guide anyone through the upgrade/repair process if needed. 

Certified Pre-Owned Boards do are not covered under any MBoards Warranty unless stated otherwise in the product description.

An order number, email address, etc. must be provided as proof of purchase. 

7. non-returnable items

Non-returnable items include: Consumables (grip tape, bearings, tubes, etc.), Battery Packs, All Used/Clearance Items, Pre-owned Electric Skateboards.

8. chargebacks

Any fraudulent or false chargebacks are investigated and will result in permanent bans and domain block access to MBoards.co and any MBoards products.

9. cancellations

Cancellations are subject to a 4% credit card processing fee that is non-refundable once an order has been placed.

 

Please note that cancellations cannot be guaranteed. We typically require 1-2 business days to respond to emails and process requests. During this time, it is possible that your order may be dispatched before we have the opportunity to review your cancellation request. While we strive to accommodate all requests, once an order has been shipped, restocking and shipping fees will apply if a return still needs to be made.
